Community Engagement
IBF Falun in the Community
The club is about more than just matches. We are in schools, local clubs, and public squares across Falun – all year round.
Our Responsibility
IBF Falun wants to be more than just a floorball club. For us, it is also about being a positive force in the community we are a part of – and, together with others, creating better conditions for children and young people to grow, thrive, and feel a sense of belonging. An important step in this work was taken in 2023 when we launched Alla på plan, a long-term community initiative aimed at contributing to a healthier, kinder, and more inclusive society. Over the years, Alla på plan has taken many forms. Our SSL players have visited schools around Falun, meeting children and youth in their daily lives. The focus has been on the joy of movement, community, good sportsmanship, and using our elite players as positive role models. As part of this initiative, we have also worked to create more opportunities for spontaneous physical activity. Through Rastklubban, floorball sticks from our elite teams were given new life in schoolyards, allowing children to play floorball together during recess. In recent years, the initiative has continued to evolve. Among other things, we have hosted open sessions at the arena where children and young people could come play floorball, meet our SSL players, hang out, and just enjoy a fun evening together. These meetups were warmly received and clearly showed the power of combining sports, role models, and community. During the 2024/25 season, the project also gained a particularly visible platform when our home arena took the name Alla på plan Arena. It was a way to highlight the issues we work with and show that community engagement is a key part of IBF Falun's identity. We want to make a difference together For IBF Falun, community involvement isn't a single project with an end date. It is part of who we want to be as a club. We believe in the power of sports. In the ability to bring people together, inspire movement, build community, and provide young people with positive environments and role models. At the same time, we know that the biggest difference is made together. That's why we are constantly seeking new contexts, ideas, and partnerships with businesses, organizations, schools, the municipality, and other partners who share our ambition to do good for our region – especially for our children and youth. This can range from movement and health to community, inclusion, safety, and other issues affecting young people's daily lives. Our ambition is simple: To use the power of IBF Falun to contribute to an even better community – and make sure as many people as possible can take part. Sports should be a community for everyone.
